Kim Ki Duk
Kim's films always makes me depress. Actually they probably make everyone depress but what he shows us is indeed what is happening in this world, just that it is not something which we all experience everyday.
Watched a few seconds of The Bow, and it was enough to make me hesistate about watching the whole film.
Samaritan Girl was damn depressing, although it was really very good. I probably don't have the heart to watch it ever again.
I read the synopsis of Bad Guy and it was enough to make me depressed.
3-Iron wasn't that depressing explicitly, but if you think of it deeper, it shares the hallmark of Kim's works.
Finally, Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring was mildly depressing but probably enough to make you contemplate.
Such is Kim's style.
